Les Femmes Art Project is a representation of human emotion and the memories women have about their lives. It combines elements of stitches through time, embroidery and recycled tea bags. The work explores new beginnings, displacements, memories of the past, homeland, exile and hope.
This project was achieved through the support of Women in Exile, WomenCentre and The Media Centre, Huddersfield. The funding was a grant from Arts in the Neighborhood, Kirklees Council, for which we are very grateful.
The Les femmes art exhibition has now moved to Cafe Ollo. You can walk in off the street and have a look at the exhibition. It’s also a wonderful space to have a meeting and drink a nice cup of coffee.
